I am presently designing a x configuration hexacopter which I want to be a really precise flying bird, so I can easily position it at ideally +/- 1 inch( or better) over a target at 300 ft altitude. of course I do not expect to meet this level of precision in windy condition.
I base my design on the following hardware and would really like your experienced comments on the equiment I plan to use so your experience may help me avoid pitfall and dead end issues:
- F550 frame
- EMAX 920KV motors,
- SimonK 30 A ESC
- Pixhawk PX 4 controller,
- Ublox N8M GPS+GLONASS+Galileo+magnetometer
- 3DR mini OSD Telemetry Tx/Rx
- Px4 Pixflow (optical and sonar) ( was looking at Lidar but cost may be an issue unless you convince me...LOL)
Taranis X9D+ with X8R
-all cables will be shielded to ground and housed in Nylon braided loom.
- PDB board wlll be magnetically isolated with Mu-Metal shield so will be the back of the GPS.
Will probably power it with a 4S 10000mAh LI-Po ( at least for a start and based on the payload capacity, I may increase the battery size to extend the flight time.
Any of your coments will be welcome and I will sureley take all of them into consideration
( Excuse my not-so-good English...I am native French speaking and an even worst typist!)
