Problem with direction of Roll

Hallo, I have a Quadcopter in + mode.

I have testet it today first time, but I can´t fly with it because the copter goes to the right back one. So the left and front Propeller goes up and the back and rear propeller turns to slow.

I have run the setup I think minimum 20 times, but do not help. The direction of the rc controll works fine. left goes to left, right goes to right and front to front and so on.

After some times I see in the software, that the horizont is going for roll in the wrong direction.

But the pitch is right. The board is mounted right.

What can I do, or what im´m donig wrong

I have this motors:

and 4 Turnighy 18 amp Controlers.

I have also connected the magnetometer.

In the gui all works fine without the roll direction.

If the copter stands on a tabel alle the gyro and accelerometers are on "0".

Do you need any mor information

I read so much in the wiki but can´t find any solution for this problem:

I have the ArduPilot Mega board.

  • I thought I might drop this here-

If my Quad Was setup for + mode and i want to fly x mode, is it just case of turning the apm board 45 to 2 arms and loading new setup to x mode? Or do I need to adjust anything else? I tried to fly today x mode however, again quad wasn't stable, just kept flying away and also noticed sticks seemed reversed.?

I have original arducopter frame, baro, gps, sonar and 2.023 loaded, soldered gyro, no felt/cotton pad on baro sensor, btw, loiter didn't want to hold either, just shot up and had to switch back to simple or stab. I'm just confused!

  • OK IO have found the Problem. It was the Magnetometer. I put the wrong values into the software for it.

    I put into -2.14 instead of 2.14

  • I also have a sparfunk magnetometer, could this be a problem for the oblique moving up from the ground.

Do the software automatically check this, or do I have to changs something manually in the code?

    thx

  • I have the same issue.

If I use the pitch/roll stick I can stabalize it enough to get a few feet off the ground.

I tried using the TX trim to even it out, but it doesn't go far enough.

The artificial horizon in the software is easy to be fooled.  It is supposed to look like its going the wrong way, because it is the horizon, not the craft that is moving.  Study it closely, you'll see.

Photos of your setup would help.

    Double check:

Props are correct, motors are not reversed, motors are in the right order. The APM is not mounted towards the front. The radio doesn't have a channel reversed, And the + mode is set in software.
