Problem with Naza m V2 and QBrain ESCs

Hey guys,

I recently put together a custom drone. I  originally had an APM 2.8, but the gyroscope was bad. So I bought the Naza m V2.

When I had the APM 2.8 installed, my motors would at the very least spin

Now that I have the Naza installed, my escs just beep about once every second. I am a complete beginner when it comes to Drones, and I really can not figure out what is going on.

I have all of my motors wired to the QBrain ESC correctly. I think the problem is where the 4 cables go to the Naza. Those 4 cables each have a 3 slot connector, but only one cable in each. I tried plugging it with the cable on the lowest part of the plug, and got no beeps, but also no movement when trying to arm or do a motor test. So I turned the cables upside down, and I get beeping on the escs. About one every second or so. I have tried everything I can think of, but I just can't figure it out.

The QBrain ESC is wired directly to the battery plug, and then I have the pmu on the naza wired like a "T" to the cable as well. Could that be my problem?

  • This website is more about open source, and even then I would not really be asking questions like this here. RCGroups is a better place for basic users questions.

That said the Naza M V2 is a very reliable and easy to set up controller. You do not have your escs connected properly and they are not calibrated it seems. Post your questions here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1884389-NEW-NAZA-M-V...***Owners-Thread***-FIRST-PAGE-LINKS

And review the opening posts for info.

Good luck. You should be flying soon.

And while you are at it maybe look at that APM 2.8 again. It may be ok. There is a thread for that on RCGrouosvas well.

  • The drone wouldn't stabilize after multiple calibrations. Also, it stopped letting me calibrate the compass. So it's just sitting in a box.

So how do I calibrate them exactly. Which "single wire" in the signal pin of the 3? Sorry, I just don't understand what you mean. I looked up how to calibrate them but I don't have that dongle that you can use to calibrate them

How did you know the gyros were bad in the 2.8 ... You need to recalibrate those speed controllers the single wire goes in the signal pin of the 3.
