Problems getting code loaded

I am trying to get the code setup and loaded for the first time and I am having issues I am doing the test files and I am able to do all the tests but anything related to the radio functions. Every time I do one of those, the yellow led stays locked on and the light on my RX goes out. I have also
tried to load the complete code to see if that would make a difference and when
I do that the servos glitch like crazy and I still have no control over the
switch position nor does my transmitter have any effect on the servos no matter
the position I have them in. I followed all the directions in the wiki multiple
times and I am at a loss as to what I am not doing correctly here. Below I will
list the setup I have. Also, when I had the Ardupilot code loaded the servos
glitched so bad one of them striped themselves out and overheated. I can post
any further info required if you let me know what would help in diagnosing this
issue. Thanks for any input and help. The best I can tell I soldered and wired
everything according to the proper setup I have.

The test files I am using is the most current ones that are listed

The Ardupilot version is 2.5.04

  • Now the issue I am running into is when I try and do the simulated mode and enter 5 ardupilot doesnt compile now it gives me and error of "redefinition of dlat". Is the only thing I am suppose to do is change the GPS setting to a 5 on my header file?
  • Here are some pictures Please let me know if there is something more specific I should show. The servos were not hooked up in these pictures I just realized. I can take a pictures of how I had them hooked up if required. Thanks again.

    Jeremy,

How are you powering the Ardupilot when doing the test files and when loading the actual Ardupilot code? Are you providing exactly +5 vdc or are you using a four cell Nmhi battery that is fully charged (~+6 vdc)? If you are driving the Ardupilot with greater than +5.5 vdc from the receiver you might have damaged the Ardupilot as its limit is around +5.25 vdc.

You might want to provide a picture of your setup to make it easier to troubleshoot.
