Proper sequence to connect/disconnect Ardupilot

Hi all,

in order to load code into Ardupilot I have to perform the following steps:

- connect FTDI cable to computer

- connect FTDI cable to ardupilot

- power on ardupilot

- open arduino

Is there a "correct" sequence in which I should perform the above steps? Intuitively I would perform them in the following order:

1) connect FTDI cable to ardupilot

2) power on ardupilot

3) connect FTDI cable to computer

4) open arduino

Is this correct?

Also, is there a special order in these steps to turn disconnect Ardupilot from the computer and to turn it off? E.g., should I first disconnect the FTDI cable and then power down Ardupilot or the other way around?

Many thanks,

Michael

There's no special sequence--any of those will work. The FTDI chip is in the cable, so your PC will recognize it even if the AP board isn't powered on.
