Built a new copter, here's what I got:
- 550 wide quad frame
- Turnigy 950 KV motors
- Afro 30 A ESC's
- Arducopter 2.6
- Turnigy 9X Transmitter / Receiver
------------------------------
Installed latest firmware. Went thru entire Mission Planner setup wizard... calibrated GPS, compass, radio transmitter, etc.
When copter starts to take off, one side of the copter starts to tip over and then if I give it enough throttle it will pick up and finally get airborne.
When running in LOITER, seems to hover pretty stable. But then again the LOITER feature is probably compensating for some of the motors.
Is this an APM issue? ESC issue?

Always turn the transmitter on first throttle closed, well done on having the props off. I don't know anything about Afro ESCs but I would have expected battery size tones so something there is awry.
What happens if you calibrate them with just your RC?
