Quadcopter wandering in Mission Planner

I have just initialised and uplodaed the firmware on my Ardupilot Mega 2.52 FC using NEO 6M GPS module. I am in MP and the graphic that tells me where the unit is is wandering although the set-up is sitting still on my table. Can this be resolved? is there a setting that I need to adjust. All help and advice welcomed. Thanks.

    That indicates a poor gps lock. It's normal when first powering up, until you get around 7-8 satellites (give it at least a few minutes). It's also normal if you're indoors.
