I just got a new Quanum Nova from hobby king and it flies ok but not as well as my other APM multirotors. I upgraded to firmware 3.2.1 and everything functions including Auto missions. The only hardware change I have made is adding a 3DR telemetry radio.
I did redo the accelerometer and compass calibrations. The compass cal did change a good bit so everyone should redo the compass calibration using the Mission Planner.
Now for the problems: I ran autotune and it turned the P pitch and roll way down. After that it did not fly well at all. I have run autotune on other quads and it worded well.
Roll P from 0.13 to 0.06499999
Roll I from 0.10 to 0.06499999
Roll D from 0.004 to 0.0045
Pitch P from 0.13 to 0.0599999
Pitch I from 0.10 to 0.0599999
Pitch D from 0.004 to 0.005
Is there a problem with 3.2.1 autotune?
Why are P and I the same after autotune?
If anyone has a good set of PID’s I would like to see what others are using.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Also has anyone tried 3.3 beta on one of these quads?
