After take off, I have to trim the pitch and roll to stop the copter from flying off by itself.
Now once its reasonably stable and I go into loiter mode.
Do the trim adjustments work against the loiter?

Have you tried resetting your trim to zero, adjusting the COG, and then using the auto-trim feature four or five times?
Sorry, not an answer to your question, but if it works for you, maybe you will not need an answer at all?
