Question: 3DR uBlox LEA-6 LED

Hello,

Is the LED mounted on the bottom of this board or do I have it installed upside down? Will mounting this with the LED on top have any impact on the functionality? If the LEDs have to be mounted on the bottom, how are you getting a status of GPS lock when not using the Mission Planner?

    The LED is indeed on the bottom, but in most setups the light is brit enough to see reflected off something else.
    I have mine mounted on a piece of foam with the leds having a small cutout so I can see the status.

    I suspect that mounting it upside down may significantly impact the receiver performance due to the groundplane in the PCB being there to shield the antenna in part. I have never tried it though.
