Quick question about APM on my 4ch uav platform

So I have secsessfully flown a rc plane with apm in stab. Mode.however, it was a 3 channel plane. (Alerions, throttle, and elevator.)Now I am trying to implement a 4ch platform and now I notice that when in stab mode, the rudder, and alerions are mixed? And turn against each other? For instance, when I roll the plane in stab. The alerions correct approximately, and the rudder will turn into the correction if I remember right?Has apm. Always done this, is it normal or correct?Thank youPlease search youtube.com "beeler Uav part 8" for a live demo.

Ailerons should be ch1.  Rudder should be ch4.  Rudder can be set up to be a feedforward from the aileron or can operate with a PID controller to minimize y axis acceleration (turn coordination).
  • That one im not exactly sure about? I wanta ask is u have the rudder as ch1 or alerions as ch1?
  • Thank you kind sir, I apprishiate it!
  • So, the rudder is suppose to turn into the alerion bank? Or against it?
  • Rudder mixing is normal. There is a pid setting to adjust by how much. In your video, it seems to be reversed. Check your dip switches.
