Receiver board help!

Okay folks... I need some help.  I'm attempting my first quacdcopter build and I'm stuck.

Here's what I'm using:

  • PDB-XT60
  • Pro Racing F3 Flight Controller
  • TS5828 FPV 5.8G 32 CH 600mW Transmitter
  • FlySky FS-X6B receiver
  • FlySky FS-i6X Radio Controller

I can connect to Cleanflight just fine, but can't bind to the radio controller.  When I plug the receiver board in and the lipo battery, no lights flash on the receiver board, the board itself starts to get hot pretty quickly. Oh, and the motors twitch and a fast beeping happens.

I've tried 3 different receiver boards, and I've made 3 different wiring connections (GND-VCC-CH3 on controller board to the matching 3 wires into the receiver board).  Same thing happens.

It can't just be the receiver boards right?  I haven't tried a different version or brand and have been thinking about trying a FS-IA6B.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

Thom

Do you happen to have a voltmeter? Might be worth checking that you're getting the right voltage from the red and black wires. Should be 3.3v, I think
