Could someone please tell me which wire goes where (from spektrum receiver to APM); specifically, which output from the receiver goes to the "pitch" input on the APM? Normally with spektrum, pitch in Heli mode is output on Aux 1, so does Aux 1 from receiver go to pitch input on APM? If so, then where does the "gear" receiver output go?
To summarize:

With my Aux 1 (Spektrum pitch) output plugged into Input 3 on the APM, I get no pitch movement on the servos. Also, when I go into the Heli setup screen, I get an error message (see first attached pic) and my setup screen looks like this (see second attached pic).

I think you are right and using the right info. At the time of the Wiki composition, there was no Spektrum information (I address this below).

There is no link off the path: Instructions --> Traditional Helicopters (but the Table of Contents takes you to the same place as the next line below)
Rather, the path is: APMCopter --> Table of Contents -->(scroll down) Traditional Helicopters --> (pick your section)
Thanks for pointing it out because I have a 450 Clone and want to employ APM on..and I will be using Spektrum also.

So even the Devs haven't used Spektrum. You are on the bleeding edge Jim!
What TX /RX are you using? I know Robert L uses Futaba (go figure -- he is one of the Go-To guys for trad heli).
