Had some inspiration today reading the local paper, here in New Zealand, had some stunning aerial photos from above mt Narahoe (sorry, havent found a link to the photo, its in a paper - not digital).First Thought - would love to do those shots from my RC plane, probably using a digital camera onboard and a cheaper 2.4 ghz system, so I can see what I am flying over.Second thought - why not do this using an auto pilot, program in a flight path, still using a camera system back to ground to see real time what I am flying over. So, with all the developments in the ardupilot etc, what would the best setup as far as autopilot, shield, etc (keeping costs down :-) )Platform will most likely be a Delta or chevron Wing , elevon control, possibly rudder control as well, but for simplicity could go with a glider style RET controlThoughts ?CheersMat

Thanks Chris - hadent found that list before, will look into what I need to do to get the gear over here - like that the radios are 900 mhz and not 2.4 ghz
Krzysztof - the airframe isnt an issue, I build flying wings for myself and others.(my largest is a 54" Ritewing with 1200 watts on its tail and 160 kph speed flat and level :-) and I have an 80" wing "in the build")
Your easyuav is very nice, but out of my price league. does it sell well ? would love to sell such a product here in New Zealand, lots of oportunity with local and govt departments
The limitation is weather, I don't believe your flight will be repetitive enough in manual mode in order to obtain good quality stitch.
When you fly predictably the results from simple panorama stitchers are really regular: http://www.aerialrobotics.eu/examples/WinterPhotomapping.kmz
