I thought I understood "re-start mission" function but maybe not.
For example, if one is in the middle of a mission and switches to FBWA to do some cloud surfing and then hits the Re-start Mission, what is the expected action?
Second, does the vehicle APM have to be in any particular Mode to re-start mission? In other words, if in FBWA and hit re-start mission does the plane continue on to the next WP or go back to home and square one? Or do I have to hit Auto again. It seems like I get almost random responses from the APM???
Any help appreciated.

It would sure be nice if one of the developers would expand on planning and interupting a Mission.
I have another question on altitude which I will post shortly.
I find that restart mission re-arms the 1st waypoint, (except the Takeoff WP). The plane will only fly the mission if it is in Auto, but you can click it anytime and then it will go back to the beginning of the mission WHEN you switch to Auto.
If you interupt a mission by switch out of auto and don't press Restart Mission, when you do switch back to Auto it will resume progressing to the same waypoint it was previously, even if you already passed it. In this case you need to use MP to tell it which WP you want it to fly to next.
