Hey there guys,
I've been asked a few times about how RTH works. I know many of you already know.
But I've been surprised lately to find some very cheap drones with better GPS functionality than more expensive ones. I mean $60 GPS drones cheap.
I have made a basic guide and a table comparison between my top 5 GPS return to home drones: https://dronesgator.com/drones-with-return-to-home-feature/
What I'm looking for in a good RTH GPS drone is usually:
Stability - It must stay very precisely in place so I can drink my morning coffee.
Does not do the toilet bowl: This is a strange circular movement pattern that I've seen some drones do ( I picked 5 of the ones who don't do that).
Low battery return to home - This is a good bonus, as we can't always be aware of how far we are and how much battery we need to get back. This is why I like more expensive drones.
Lost signal RTH - I don't think I need to explain why this is important.
