- Multi point and point to point link capability.
- Long range >40km depending on antennas and GCS setup.
- 2 x RP-SMA RF connectors, diversity switched.
- 1 Watt (+30dBm) transmit power.
- Transmit low pass filter.
- > 20dB Low noise amplifier.
- RX SAW filter.
- Passive front end band pass filter.
- Open source firmware / tools, field upgradeable, easy to configure.
- Small (30 x 57 x 13 mm), light weight (14.5g).
- Compatible with 3DR / Hope-RF radio modules.
- License free use in Australia, Canada, USA, NZ.
These modems are designed to support long range applications, while being easy to use and affordable.
These modems have been flying in various platforms and have demonstrated excellent performance in real applications.
RFD900 modems are now available at: http://store.rfdesign.com.au
Support within APM planner and the radio configurator from Michael Oborne is already available.
It works seamlessly with APM planner, all radio Mavlink parameters are available.
Update, December 2014: The RFD900+ with improved specifications is available now at:

I can click on the same website and see the pictures, I guess Dropbox is not giving you permission to see them.
The diydrone only lets you upload three pictures at a time, so I guess I will have to do this the hard way, I will send three different messages with three pictures at a time so you can see all eight pictures.
You posted a general link to dropbox folder. You need to create a new folder in DB and then click the share button...
Thanks Bill for your help, I think I got it figured out now.
Here are the picture of wiring the 900+

That was the solution, I can view the DP with photos now. Thanks again James!
I found those RFID RHCP antenna in the 900MHz band . Believing the specs, it's a 8dBi antenna, beam width: 72 degrees at -3dB.
After receiving the antennas, I took off the shell, which is a heavy metal tray with front pannel made of plexi glass. I laser cut a bottom and top plate out of plexi glass and use plastic stand off to mount them back together. As you can see I can save some space and weight as well. I hope to have some time next month to test those antenna.
On the right is the antenna taken out of the shell, on the left is the other antenna already in his new cover
Two antennas next to an IPhone 5 for scale purpose.
Another shot, this time the new antenna inside its previous metal tray.
Famous jDrones long-range telemetry sets have another upgrade, V2 and they are now available as 868Mhz and 900Mhz. All of them are using plus modems that are upgrade able for encryption and mesh protocols.
900 Plus set @ jDrones store
868 Plus set @ jDrones store
Set comes with all necessary cables, USB cable for ground unit, DF13 cables for both APM and Pixhawks, 2 x 3dbi Dipole antennas, 2 x monopole antennas for designated frequency.
And as always they all have strong cases and custom made adapter boards etc installed.
Both sets are PNP sets for APM and Pixhawk boards.
