RSSI display problem

When using the Mission Planner to fly a task I monitor the HUD screen carefully.

I have just found out the RSSI reading on the HUD does not show the actual value of the RSSI when flying it only shows 99%   or  0% when signal is lost.     When I play back the TLOG of the task it then does show the actual value of the RSSI.

I had been relying on the HUD to be sure I was flying in full control all the time.

Can this safety item be corrected.

  • What about the RSSI and noise figures in the tuning screen for telem?
Although packet loss is what it's all about RF RSSI is more linear and can give one a heads up on range.
  • Developer

the hud shows packet loss, not rssi. hence why its a percentage and not a db number.

  • It works fine on mine.

Are you looking at the telemetry RSSI or RC Rx RSSI? The one defaulted on the HUD is the telem RSSI.
