Rudder

My first post here! Hello, hello all...

I have the APM Beta downloaded now and uploaded to the APM-oilpan.

Everything seems to be working really well but RUDDER? I tested the IMU per instructions and sure it gives feedback for roll, pitch and yaw...

Is rudder not stabilized under stabilization flight mode? Ailerons and Elevator servos work great when I tilt, turn and roll the APM-oilpan but not the rudder servo.

Am I missing something?

P.s. I have read and read the manual!!!

The Rudder is set to minimize the centripetal forces on the plane during a turn. If you're not flying it you won't see it.

  • Ok!

    Please verify. Under Stabilization Mode:

Aileron and Pitch are corrected. The servos counter act sudden movement.

Rudder is not? If I turn the APM on desk the rudder does not correct for sudden YAW? Is this a feature or a fault in my system?

I'm not concerned about mixing aileron to rudder.

Rudder/aileron coordination is an option that's available. See the full Configuration Options. (It's called "Rudder Mix")
