I'm in the process of building an Octo and laying out the stack plates ready for them to be CNCd.Are there any rules on close proximity of radio transmitters, GPS receivers, XBee telemetry transmitter etc?I'm planning on the GPS module being on its own on the top plate. Many thanks,Steve

I have had lots of trouble with FrSky telemetry receivers being mounted anywhere near a GPS, mediatek of ublox. Turning off the telemetry feature seems to fix the problem. Since you are asking, I would also be concerned with the 2nd or 3rd harmonic of the xbee (assuming 900 mhz) effecting your GPS and 2.4 ghz control. The xbee is not very powerful, so its probably not an issue (I have never had a problem, but I don't push my range), but my 900 mhz video transmitter sure wipes of GPS and 2.4 ghz control when mounted within a foot of that stuff. A low pass filter helps tremendously, but the higher powered the transmitter, the harder it is to prevent. At close range most of this doesn't really matter though, except for possibly the video transmitter.
