Is it possible to control a drone via satellite internet, possible using wild blue? And has anyone developed PC control software, maybe setting up models of multivariate testing? That would be very cool to control a drone out in the field on a computer, and maybe save $ on control hardware. I'm new to this forum and I'm interested in starting a project, so I'd appreciate any help in answering these questions. It seems like one could get an incredible amount of control in using a laptop to drive the drone. Also, here is a very interesting technology, of drone-like balloons possibly becoming a form of satellite high speed internet service. I've seen some stories of this technology around, and it seems like a great way to provide broadband to developing countries, or very remote locations (where people would like to fly drones!)

Satelite isn't suitable, it has very bad latency...tested.
What you need is minimum internet latency... maximum 100ms..tested
I use what you are asking for to control my drone. With my laptop, or from any PC :-)
I am talking about real time piloting. Not sending new waypoints...
Interrested?
