Hi Richard,
I had the same problem using HK digital servos and APM in an X5, The Xbee in the past had no problems with the same setup, the 3DR radios were causing the digital servos to buzz I time with the Tx of the 3DR in the plane
solved it by doing 2 things, increased the data rate on the 3DR so it was almost always transmitting and receiving and
making the cable from the APM to the 3DR longer by 4 inches, no more problems
