When I turn ON my APM Plane I do it at the pitts workbench and that is where the GPS LOCKS the HOME. How do I move my HOME to a different place away from the pitts, so when I do a RTL it goes to the new HOME?
Could I get a step by step explanation on how to do it?

do you use xbee's?
there is 2 ways if you do.
download a mission, move home, and upload the mission again.
or use the "do action" option and use calibrate_gyros, this will do a soft reset of the apm while its out on the stip, ensure you are in hardware manual before doing this.
