Setup Problem can anybody help !

Setup.

APM1 1280

Mediatek GPS

Spektrum DX8

Latest version of software 2.5

All seemed to set up ok. the motors arm and respond to the rc when connected to a lipo but when I go into the mission planner it says no gps is connected the mediatek is connected to the board but I never get a flashing red light on the apm also when I tilt or move the apm I don't get any response in "flight data" in mission planner.

Any help appreciated !

    Which port have you connected the GPS to Christopher, the one on the Red board or the one on the Blue board? If it's the Blue one you have connected to, try the Red one.....
