Sharp IR distance sensor - GP2Y0A02YK0F

Did some ad-hoc tests with the Sharp IR distance sensor - GP2Y0A02YK0F. Hardware interface is easy, didn’t use any conditioning. For software, I adapted a code that was posted on the Internet. Later added averaging to it.Providing it will have similar readings in the outside environment, it may be well suited for assisted-landing.My ad-hoc test included holding the sensor horizontal about 20-30cm above a flat surface (my couch) and moving the sensor fast (in the second test as fast as I could) between the couch and the table next to it (table and couch on same level). There is an approx a 40cm drop between the couch and the table and a 30cm gap between them. The first graph was with single reading and the second averaging 5 readings. Approx time for the data points (divide by 2 the data points on the graphs to get real datapoints) was around 5 seconds.I have not made a lot of efforts to calculate refresh rates, but it seems that the data updated about every 82ms. I need to do more test and some real measurements here. The literature says that the sensor needs between 38-48ms for the data to be ready.Added the code.
