I've heard that engaging simple mode during a flight malfunction, such as the quad getting turned around in the wrong direction, can save the quad so that you can "bring it home" and get control of it again....But my question is, if the quad is facing the wrong direction and you flip the switch into simple mode....doesn't the quad make it so the stick in the forward position makes the quad go forward? So how would that help get the quad back in control? Or is there a way to set the orientation for simple mode before the quad is flown?
