Simple steps for Autopilot in HK GCS?

Hi guys, i want to make sure all im doing is right before i start flying my Auto pilot.

i want to know after connecting the APM with the HK GCS how can i confirm if the mission plan will work 100%

do i have to write the mission then take off manualy and change the mode to Auto so the plane will automaticly will correct the direction and it  will follow the plan ?

what does
FLY_BY_WIRE_A

 mean?

Fly by Wire is available in two forms: "A", attitude and stability controlled by autopilot but throttle controlled manually (by the radio signal);

this mean everything Auto but Throttle manual ?

or it is for manual stability?  can i fly with this mode using Radio controller?

    FLy-by-wire is RC controlled (ie, manual), but it steers like a car more than a plane. So if you push the aileron stick over 15 degrees, the plane holds a bank of 15 degrees, the way a car does in a turn. (In normal flight mode, the plane would continue to bank, turning into a roll).
