Hey guys, I've been a member on this forum just hovering a bit... but now I'm close to doing a bit of travelling and ofc a drone comes into mind.
So basically my question is, can you build a relatively small DIY drone, let's say 5" or something that you can fit into or on the back of a backpack. Mount a full size gopro (let's say 6 because of the stabilisation but it would be basically same weight as the 5), get a smooth footage with a fairly long flight time. Maybe 10minutes?
I feel like such a noob in this area because either it's like a Octocompter that weighs 5-6kg or a 4" racing drone and there is no "middle thing" unless you want to spend the money on a Mavic.
Anyone have any suggestions.... is it possible or just to give up on the idea and save up for a Mavic?
Gimbal is not super important at least at the start.
I can also add that I don't own a drone today, but I'm a fast learner etc and really like to build and understand the workings behind things....
