A GoPro seems to be the Go-To choice for outdoor photography/video adventures, but for me they are a bit heavy and expensive.
What alternatives are there for capturing stills and Hi Def video which stored one way or another on a quadcopter and then downloaded to a computer?
I'm not after anything bombproof or waterproof like a GoPro because that adds weight. Are there lightweight alternatives?

Im a bit off a fan of the BOSCAM HD19. Great camera, and cheap on hk with a buddy code. Same performance as a basic Go pro.

Ignore the price, its a glitch, the actual price is $89.
Mobius ActionCam?
Hello
Do you mean one of these?

It does look interesting indeed. I have not read all the blurb but is there a way to reduce the viewing angle of the lens, as I'm not keen on a fisheye image. I just don't like the results and would much prefere a lower field of view. Its just a personal choice but curved videos just don't look natural to me.
Thank you for the suggestion of the camera. :-)
I have one and I changed the standard lens for a 6mm one, you can use any standard 12mm mount lens; it's a good camera for price and weight
I will look into the lens options.
Cheers

From seeing a few youtubes, this looks like an excellent choice of camera.
Cheers
I have just been reading an article in my weekly computer magazine which has promoted a camera called a Transcend Drive Pro 200. Basically its an £80 camera weighing half that of a GPro, which sits behind your windscreen and records stuff to an SD card. More interestingly can be accessed by wifi and records full HD.
I'm no electronics expert but is it possible to glue this to a quad and power it up to record flights and maybe even see the live results through the wifi on a tablet or phone?
