Ok, I might have had a beer too many last night, but a really cool design came into my head last, for a 300 size (or less) rocket ship, complete with FPV, minimOSD and APM2.6. No gimbals, no cameras (other than pilot cam), no LED's etc. FPV was considered a necessity, given the speed and agility of this thing will make LoS more scary and difficult than exciting.
I have my power source in mind (1500mah 4S), the motors and the props (having problems finding the gauge though in the size and CF I want), and I have the frame layout (wow...). Flight time will be well below 10 minutes, but I hope the speed will easily fry your brain in that time.
Now, small and fast has been done before but I intend to build and release this one. However, it would be good to see the mistakes and success people have had in the past. I may also need to call on some CAD workers more experienced than me to help with the fairing, as the shape is more complex than I can sculpt...
Anyone want to have some fun with this one?

You can look at the 6s flip fpv thread on rcgroups. I know that you state 4s, but according to the thread, its fast, nimble, and gets 12-18 min of flight time. I believe it might be a 400 size though.
I do plan on keeping an eye on your progress though. This is actually what ive been looking for but everything ive come across is a 400 size. Let alone be-able hold the apm and fpv gear.
Ooooh, some basic numbers run through ecalc.
If I hit the projected weight I want, hover throttle will be at 33%, and full throttle flight time will be....3.5 minutes on 4S with 8" props. Oh man. But I'd still prefer smaller props with more pitch...any suggestions?
