Sonar not needed with APM 2.5?

Someone mentioned that the sonar sensor is not needed with APM 2.5 due to the barometric sensor in APM 2.5 being much improved.

Is that true?

But would I get any additional benefit from adding sonar to APM 2.5?

    I think the baro is the same with 2.0 and 2.5. Sonar is only really useful at lower altitudes and can be a little flakey over rough surfaces like grass. The Maxbotics units also appear to have a lot of sensitivity to electrical noise that people are fighting with. If you want low altitude accuracy and are willing to fiddle with it, the sonar is helpful, but for general altitude hold up higher, the baro does all the work.
