Hi
I've asked a similar question in the radio forum, but I'm getting a tarot gimbal for the odd bit of survey photography and thought that the rest of the time it might be an idea to mount the radios and sonar on the gimbal for stability.
Particularly for the sonar, I thought it would give a much more reliable reading to the ground if it was stabilised and always pointed directly downwards, rather than fixed to the bottom of the quad which swings around in the wind.
Is this a good idea? Has anyone tried it? Is there a potential downfall that I haven't thought of?
