Spektrum AR6200 or AR6100

Hi all, I presently have a Spektrum AR6200 receiver to use in my EZ* and TwinStar II with my Ardupilot. However, I was wondering if I should consider the AR6100 to conserve space in the fuse and not have to make room for two receivers? Is the AR6100 adequate for LOS operation without having to use the AR6200 to ensure reliable operation? Regards, TCIII

  • the AR6100s work well in electric planes. I've used them in several EasyStars and a number of stick-and-tissue planes I have built over the years including the 2X Sparky (64" wingspan) in my avatar. They probably don't work as well with those big lumps of metal that run on fuel which tend to shadow a 2.4 ghz signal if it gets between the receiver and the transmitter, but I trust them on my electrics for as far as I can maintain visual contact.
