Spektrum AR6210 satellite receiver failsafe.

Is anyone here using a Pixhawk with a Spektrum AR6210 satellite receiver?

I'm having some trouble setting up my throttle failsafe and was wondering if anyone here has set this up before.

I went through the binding process outlined in the manual and I am still getting no response from the RX when I turn off my TX

It's behaving as if nothing happened at all. The orange light does turn off, but the throttle signal level in APM remains in the exact same position as it was when the TX was shut off.

I can't configure the failsafe if the throttle doesn't drop...

Any ideas?

  • Solved!

The Spektrum remote receiver sends NO signals when the tx is turned off.

The pixhawk can detect "no incoming data" then that's how it knows it's in failsafe mode.
  • I have the same problem...

    • Unfortunately, I can't find the documentation that had the solution. It's been a long time since I used the satellite receiver.

If I remember correctly, it appeared as though the receiver would maintain the throttle signal even though it wasn't, and after 5 seconds the copter will still enter failsafe mode. It was very confusing to me, but it worked.
