Hi,
I just recieved the hardware today, but i'm still doubting if i should set it up on my trex 450 or straight on my streched trex 600 now 800 size heli?
i want to use my 800 for ap, now flying it with copilot2 but i want to have more functions like gps hold.
do you think it's already stable enough to use it on a bigger size heli with dslr camera or better to do more test on a 450first?
Thanks,
Ruud

Well, until the I2C problem is fixed, I don't recommend using it on the 800.
Otherwise, it's up to your own cost-benefit analysis. Putting it on the 450 will help you get familiar with how the system works. Any mistakes you make won't cost as much after the crash.
I'm running it on my 600, but it's just an HK600GT so it's not too expensive. I've had one crash that I consider to be the fault of APM (I2C problem, or possibly a brown-out).
Generally speaking, I think the code is pretty close to being stable. It flies very well in stabilize. It's critical to make sure your power system is reliable. My reciever can reboot very fast, I think less than a second. APM takes more like 10 seconds. So the introduction of the APM means more potential for a crash if you have a brownout. You might not even notice it if you were flying reciever-direct.
