Dear all, I've built an hexacopter with APM1, during my first flight I've realized the hexa was going backward, even if there were no wind at all, what could be? (I've done the level procedure)

Second issue, I've uploaded the latest firmware and had some problems in setting up the parameters...really much different from the one I had saved before.

How can I find the recomended parameters list for hexa with firmware 2.6?

As last, when giving throttle (50%), I hear a strange noise coming from one propeller/Motor, looks to me as a kind of cavitation noise...I changed the propeller thinking it was damaged...but it is still the same.

Any idea?

Thanks

Marco

  • You can calculate it here. Or you can measure the thrust of one motor and multiply it by six. If your thrust is at least 2 or better 3 times higher than your lift off weight, than it is ok.

  • Here is a thread about the changed min throttle and how to change it.

yeah sounds like you have prop either mounted upside down or it's on "wrong" motor and spins backwards. both will create funny tunnel kinda sound and also bad lift. dont fly before checking

always check that air flows down under propellers.
  • Maybe you mounted one prop upside down. Printing must be on the top. Otherise it has only about 40% thrust and makes this noise.
