Hey guys,
I've been struggling with the compass and inertia values. I am using the APM 2.5+ and the Hexa B frame with the 880kv motors. When I calibrate my compass (either mode: by wobbling the frame and by log calibration) they get set to strange values, some are in the ten thousands. Same for inertia. Can anyone tell me why that is? I now turned off automatic declination and automatic compass offsets in the adv parameters on the ground everything seems fine, but I am sure it won't be in there.
I am asking, because my copter seems to have not always been going to the right direction in the automatic mode.
PS: Yesterday I reset the eeprom and just started the motors on ground after set-up and the inertia values were already off the hook. May be normal because it wasn't in flight?
Greetings,
Stephan

Found it: APM Mission Planner is not doing localization correctly. If you set it to "Gemany" the "." doesn't get set correctly and all values are shown as multiplied by 1000
