Hi All,
I'm currently using a minimOSD to stream FPV video to goggles. I know Mission Planners HUD can accept video. However in that case, there are two overlays on the video stream in Mission Planner: the one from the minimOSD and the one from Mission planner itself. However, the minimOSD is required to have flight data available when using the Goggles.
Now my question is: how would it be possible to eliminate the minimOSD and send JUST the HUD Windows (with the live video stream) to Goggles? Using some sort of USB video output device connected to the goggles. I.e.:
I might be asking too much!

That one is a video input device so that you can bring live video into the mission planner (MP). If you want to output the MP HUD screen (with or without live video) you can try a VGA to composite converter something like this. Plug it into the VGA output of your laptop, probably treating it as a second screen so that you see only the HUD, not the full MP screen.
If you want to actively fly FPV with this approach (you see a change in the aircraft attitude then you move the control surfaces) rather than just watch what is happening while the autopilot is controlling the aircraft you need to consider the delays in the video processing. If the delay gets too long you can get into a PIO (pilot induced oscillation) situation. Sounds like a fun experiment to see what we can put up with.
