T3 Competition

We are coming to the end of the next round, who's up for giving me a hand sorting it out and perhaps making the judging a little more subjective.

Summer is fast approaching for most people here so its time for everybody to fly hard.

You have all had a winter of dreaming and scheming.

Lets rotate some plastic!

I'm looking for two or three volunteers to sit down and imbibe something of their own choice and come up with some some rounds and perhaps shape the direction of a competition that could be held regionally and then maybe dream of dreams somewhere near DIYdrones world HQ wherever that maybe  ;-)

Competitions push things forward and set benchmarks, an autopilot is not an autopilot unless it can complete all the T3 rounds!!!

    Hey Gary,

I always seem to be 1-2 weeks behind where I need to be for T3. Always late with a result - LOL

I'd be happy to imbibe, apply creative statistics, and dream up arcane rules ;) I'm all for style points!

Just to reinforce Gary's point, contests are something that everyone should participate in. It's the best way to learn, push technology development and motivated us to take our hobby to the next level. Speaking of which, this is your last weekend to get a submission to the current T3 round (virtual Sparkfun) so get out there!

We'll continue to have virtual T3 contests here every two months (the next one will be either a simulation contest for those who are still dealing with winter, or simple aerial photography one), but Gary's idea of local in-person competitions around the world is a great one.

Needless to say, I volunteer to host them in the San Francisco Bay Area, but we should have regional ones elsewhere, too!
