I'm in the process of building a new frame from scratch with some spares parts and i was wondering if there is any recommendation or cons, other then COG/ balancing problem, in configuring a tricopter with 6 motors in a  T shape instead of pure Y

I feel the T is much better shape for aerial photo, which is my goal,...but i don't see many copters like that... any thought why?
