takeoff problem

I recently bought a ready to fly arducopter from udrones.com. But when i first got it the motors started spinning right after i armed it. So i thought it was the esc or the transmitter that needed to be calibrated so i connected the arducopter to a computer and used cli and serial monitor to calibrate esc and the transmitter. But after i did that something went wrong and when i tryed to start it again the esc was just beeping. I thoght it was the esc calibration so i calibrated each esc by hand but the probkem remaind. So i connected the copter to my computer again but this time i used the configurator and i Initialized the EEPROM. That fixed the problem but now when i try to takeoff the copter just nose-dives.I am a complete noob to all rc stuff and would relly appreciate any help.this is what happens:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m74_Ztaeht4Sorry if my english aint so good

Have you had luck with the latest code? It's stabilized enough to use. Let me know if you have any more issues.

  • I had the same problem after a light crash in field.

the quad was trying to takeoff but always went to one of the sides.

PROBLEM was the tiny HEX screw on the motor 'bell' that is actually applying pressure on the shaft - was loose.

i tightened it and it was ready to go.

i still dont get it how i found out this was the problem...

  • please is there nothing more i could try. I am starting to feel relly desperate. Could anything be broken allredy?

Are you flying + or x configuration? Is your APM board facing forward?
  • make sure your props are on right, and the motors are spinning the right way.

    The manual has good diagrams.
