Hi there.Just starting to look into this. Have been using the Arduino for a number of things before.I am thinking of starting with downloading and displaying telemetry data and then later get into autopilotWith that in mind what should i get / do i need to get good telemetry.I also have arduino's and a EM 406 GPS as well as XBees. What sensors do i need for the telemetry and keeping in mind that i do want a full autopilot later so i'd rather purchase things that can be reused later.I took a quick look at the ardupilot but only saw the pressure sensor for airspeed. i am guessing the heading and other data will come from the unavailable FMA sensor ? Any other sensors or any way to get them ?ThanksMike
You need to be a member of diydrones to add comments!
--Heading, altitude, ground speed and position come from GPS
--Airspeed comes from differential pressure sensor
--Attitude comes from thermopile (FMA) sensor (we'll be releasing our own version in a few weeks)
--Battery voltage comes from onboard voltage sensor circuit
You can add other sensors through the spare analog pins. People have added current, absolute pressure and magnetometers.

What other telemetry data were you looking for?
