Hello everybody!

I just joined the Forum, and have a couple of doubts about what is "truly necessary " to operate a Quadcopter. 

Facing the fact that I have no knowledge to build one from zero, i decided to buy a model which comes almost ready to run ( http://store.3drobotics.com/products/3dr-arducopter-quad-c-frame-kit-1 ), but I want to make sure i don't forget any important part (and also make sure i don't waste money on unnecessary parts as well!).

every time i go to the store i see a little gadget it might be important (such as the E.S.C.) but i don't know until what point i need to buy them, since 

My main goals are to:

1- be able to fly the Quadcopter in F.P.V. mode (and manually as well)

2- plan routes and record them with my goPro hero 2

 + is there a way of using the go pro hero 2 as the video capturing for F.P.V. flights? 

I appreciate your help; there's almost no one keen on drones or things alike in Brazil!!
