Testing the AMP and Sheild

I just finished soldering all the connections for my APM and Sheild.  I had a bit of trouble with two pins and had to do a little custom work to complete the solder job.

Is there a good way to test and make sure everything is working correctly before I continue building?

Thanks!

  • Yes it appears I am that dense lol.

I reloaded the board with the ArduCopter code and it connects at the correct baud rate. My applogies!

I think its time for bed...

As for the manual, I was a bit lost when it came to installing Arduino and what code to load and all of that.

I will look over the process tomorrow and see if i can't come up with something a little more clear for the new people like me.
  • Thank you, I will give this a try!

Yes, load code and run the tests in the manual. There are loads of them.
  • load the apm code and test it with the configurator
do the sensor values change as you move the apm?
can you read all the radio channels?
can you initialize the eeprom and read it values?

just check everything on the configurator, if that all works it should fly
