We have done a VB app to show the sensor could be used for scannig on a drone. the range is limited to about 6mtrs according to the docs but we assume that there is heaps of tollerance.
Two pic's show the vb app graph (realish time) of our 42" plasma at about 4 mtrs.
Being I2C the sensor would be easy to add to any of the auto pilots.
