Hello,
I'm building my first copter (stock Arducopter with 850Kv motors) and got the motors running just now. Soon I noticed that when they are running, there's a "ticking" noise coming from somewhere every now and then. I haven't been able to pinpoint exactly where it's coming from, but I suspect the motors themselves. I ran them individually, and all of them make this noise with and without propellers.
Here's a sample recorded with a cell phone: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29136331/sound.mp3
Audio quality isn't great, but you should be able to tell what I'm referring to.
Is this a problem or am I just being too paranoid? Any ideas how to trouble(?)shoot further?

Ok.. After reading these [http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/occasional-motor-clicking-is] [http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/motor-crackling-noise-during-low-rpm] and making sure the sound isn't coming from screws hitting motor or bad connections (well, can't really know that for sure but nothing implies it) I'm going to conclude for now that this is nothing to worry about. But if I'll crash (will be flying for the first time within 48 hours) I'll be back to tell about it! :)
Attached is a better example of the clicking, for archival purposes.

@ Kristian
I have jDrones AC30-1.0
Where can I find the manual?
thanks
It's the timing of the esc's that makes the motors "click". You can try to change timing interval(faster/slower) on your esc's. Look in the esc manual.
Yes, it can be a problem and cause unwanted wear of the motors, but it's not always possible to get rid of this clicking sound on all motor/esc combinations.
