Did a little research and couldn't find anything that made sense, so I figured I'd just ask...

I know that a downward spiraling flight pattern isn't one of the most desirable maneuvers to use, but is it possible to program a controlled spiraling descent that would circle about a point with a nose-down attitude so that the plane descends about 10 meters per cycle? At the end of the spiral when APM senses an altitude of about 20 meters, it goes into AUTO LAND at a pre-determined heading. This would really work well in one one the places that I fly.
