  • I now have tested the video TX/RX combo I linked below. It is 11x13x3mm and I guestimate 2-4grams weight, antenna is like 2" or so, and it is just amazingly small. I
I did not have any other easy way to test it other than the TV out on my second PC - and I could read boot message text etc perfectly fine with it so it is rather sharp.
This is definitely the way to go for video transmission if you want OSD(separate camera and Tx) and do not need a long range!
  • Found another one, NTSC only but looks nice for US ppl:
http://www.ecvv.com/product/vp1215195/Mini-CMOS-Camera.html, 13x13x9mm, but no price listed..
  • Another one:
    380TVL, Size 0.3" x 0.3" x 0.3", $124.00

I would be curious as to if someone has any of these and would share quality of video or experiences
  • 3D Robotics
The Eyecam from is also very small. $250

  • Wow, I wish they sold only the camera unit without the video TX.
I am working also on a MAV type vehicle which will be very light and for which I am still looking for a camera unit.
    Smallest I've found are:
ebay item: 300290018299 CMOS color cam 20x20x20mm and cheap.
but the smallest must be: http://www.advanced-intelligence.com/video.html#!vid044 although horribly expensive at 320$
not much spec either on the site.
    And another one 8x8x10mm http://www.microcameras.com/micro_cameras/micro_color_cmos_camera.htm

But also small video transmitters might be of interest.
Ebay item: 300289469946 50mW 1.2Ghz video TX must be only a few grams.
Which I will be able to confirm/deny as soon as the postman brings mine ;-)
