I can't develop a 'feather touch' on the controls for my quad. A 'full left' is disasterous, I've found.
Will setting the limits from -100 to +100 to say -30 to +30 keep me from making big mistakes?
I'm leaving the throttle alone, I need LOTS of it to bail me out of some of my rapid descents.
I had a good day (3 batteries worth, only one bad landing, and RTL brought it to me and not to my HOME like it tried before)
Loving the learning
Any tips appreciated

A good thing woud be to get a Quality Flight Simulator like Phoenix Sim (www.phoenix-sim.com) and fly helis on there.
I always tell my trainees to also not fly with their thumbs on the sticks. Try holding the sticks between Thumb and index finger, this results in much finer control. (Takes a bit of getting used to if you have been thumbing it, but keep at it.)
The problem with dumbing down the sticks is that when you DO get into trouble, you may not have enough stick authority to recover.
Last thing, if your radio is capable, program in 35% Expo, that will help a great deal.
