Hello everybody!!!For a few days i have been scanning all these interesting topics on DYI Drones, but i guess all this information is much too much for me to consume at one time. I wolud like to buy an totally automatic plane that i can programm befor start, like say 5-10 waypoints and what it's got to do when the waypoints are reached, for example - take a picture. I need a plane that will fly by itself and return home, preferably land by itself. I was thinking at adapting my easystar for this job. simple and if it crashes when landing it's not that expensive to repair. So in general - I want to throw the programmed plane in the air so it will fly to the waypoints - take pictures of what's below and return to me. I was reading much about the ardupilot but i am not sure it will do what i need. Can anyone help me? what hardware/software would i need to achieve my goal? Is it at all possible? I am not much good at electronics so simple language will be appreciated :). Sorry for my bad english LOL..PS. right now i fly my easy star with a simple fpv and osd. It's fun but i need some better stuff.One more question - is there any hardware on the market to put in a helicopter to do the above mentioned quests? I mean not just a copilot for stabilised flight.

AttoPilot looks nice but costs a bit. Maybe I will just go for ardupilot, it shouldn't cost that much. Of course it would require much more work. I can solder things if i know exactly what and where. That I can do with no problem. I just don't understand electronic terms and what the electronic parts do LOL. What do you think?
Paparazzi will do what you are looking for too. But it has a learning curve not to dissimilar to ardupilot. So as chris said, best solution out of box is attopilot.
I'd go with AttoPilot. Even that needs a good bit of tuning for an EasyStar, so don't expect plug and play. ArduPilot is cheaper, but you'll need to be comfortable with electronics.
